Lucas, my husband, and I love to listen to records. It’s been keeping us sane while working from home. My favorites to keep me calm and anxiety at a low is soul and jazz.
One of our favorite things to do is to head out to the beach. Thank God we live so close to the beach, even though we are always dreaming of living even closer. The beach and Pacific is a place where we love to unwind. During this time, Lucas fished while I went on a hike with Raji and ran a little on the beach. We also had to climb the rocks to get to where Lucas was. It was a nice cardio workout after an upper body workout earlier in the day.
We have a whole row of cookbooks. One of my goals is to some day create my own cookbook. We are often finding new things to cook, whether it’s following a recipe from one of these books or if it’s our own creation. I do love each of these cookbooks. They are all different with different type of cooking skills.
It was our first time crabbing and we caught two rock crabs along Pillar Point Pier in Halfmoon Bay! We were so excited! Not to mention I had bought 2 Dungenous crabs, so we ultimately went home with 4. I had just bought all the supplies for crabbing that day.
I love cuddling with Raji just as much as he loves to cuddle with me.
We are not much for celebrating Valentines day, but this Valentines day Lucas bought me a fishing pole. That same evening we went out to Quarry Lakes so the both of us can do something we love together. It was the most amazing Valentines Day.
Raji had to be a seal in his past life. He absolutely loves large bodies of water to the point that he cries when we do not let him in. He was dying to get into the ocean at Pacifica State Beach. It wasn’t until we got to the rocks where we let him play in the water.
Our wedding week was the best week I have ever had. I had a blast celebrating the week with all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives that came from overseas. Even more so, I was so grateful to have Lucas’ family and friends celebrate the week with my family with our cultural extravaganza. It was a week I will always remember; it was also the most beautiful I’ve ever felt.
I’m missing Aaliyah here, but these kids really do keep me young by their silliness.
From one powering book to the next. Although we are binge watching certain shows during the shelter in place, I am trying to catch up on reading. I loved “Me Dying Trial.” It’s definitely one I recommend.
We were hoping to hike for 2 hours, but 80+ degree heat and many ticks, we only stuck to a hour.
I have been on a reading frenzy during lockdown. It gets me away from the TV, my phone and laptop and takes me to a different world. I bought 7 books in one weekend. I have a variety of options now.
We’ve been spending a lot of our days outdoors just as we usually do. It keeps us sane being out in nature and not cooped up in the house. Raji loves it too.
There has been a lot of cuddling naps around lately. Raji and I are loving it.
It was our one year anniversary on 8/3/2020 and we took a trip up the coast to Eureka. Although we couldn’t do much with Covid-19, we had a great time. Oh and the food! It was amazing. Seafood could not have been more fresh. We can’t wait to go back with Raji and camp out along the beach.
Our last morning in Eureka, we had brunch off the pier on Woodley Island. The view was absolutely stunning and the food amazing!
